Parade Route is First Street between  L Street and McLeod. Due to construction there will be no viewing area or parade between L and M on First!

The Downtown Livermore Holiday Sights & Sounds Parade is a festive holiday event inviting all to attend. If you love local marching bands, music, light displays, and Santa Claus, you're in the right place! The hour long parade is a sizeable endeavor that entertains locals and visitors to Tri-Valley. One of the guidelines of this parade that maintains its quality is that walking entries aren't accepted, thus providing many floats and vehicles lit and decorated. All entries must be lighted or have holiday music incorporated into the design, according to parade planners, Livermore Downtown Inc.

 Parade on First Street at 6pm! Featuring local Businesses, Marching Bands, Music, Lighting Displays & Santa Claus! 

Part of the Home for the Holidays Downtown Livermore event, there's a Tree lighting ceremony after the Holiday Sights and Sounds parade.

Holiday Village in the Park

December 1, 2023, 4-8 p.m.

Livermore Downtown Inc. transforms Carnegie Park into a Twinkly and Magical Holiday Village. L

Holiday Village takes place the day before Holiday Sights and Sounds Parade and officially kicks off the Downtown Holiday Season! Holiday Village made its inaugural debut in 2021 

• Twinkling booths  around Carnegie Park with holiday treats, gifts, food faire and experiences.
• Fun kids activities and family fun for everyone!
• Santa is Coming for Santa visits
• Holiday characters - Gingerbread Girl and The Candy Girl
• Music by DJ Oh-Mar  spinning
• Carolers from the Las Positas Jazz Choir
• Jack Quigley and Steve Kritzer perform
• Local Beer, Wine and Mulled Wine!  

In addition to the tree lighting, another annual festivity is the Livermore Valley Dance Theatre Nutcracker Ballet. Before Christmas comes around, be sure to check out the Halloween events held downtown. Summer is filled with blossoms in the air, and the sweet sounds from an outdoor stage where Shakespeare and Opera are performed under the stars.
