Come to Old Town Pittsburg for the exciting Holiday Parade with floats, bands, holiday themed displays, music and children of all ages dressed in costume, walking through Old Town Pittsburg to the sounds of the season.

Santa arrives in Pittsburg during the City's annual Holiday Parade. The Parade which proceeds down Railroad Avenue from 8th St. to 4th St. with the Pittsburg High School Marching Show Band escorting Santa down Railroad Avenue. After the parade Peppermint Playland from 12 to 3 p.m. is open for kids of all ages to enjoy crafts, Jumpy Houses, a Magic Show, a Holiday Boutique and visits with Santa.

One of the  parades held just a few weeks before Christmas, this event is much anticipated and beloved because of its timing when most have finished their shopping and can now relax and enjoy themselves. The parade is intended to bring everyone out to have a good time, and of course, you can do some last minute shopping in Old Town if you like. The many restaurants provide opportunities to purchase food gift certificates.

The Holiday Parade along Railroad Avenue with floats, fancy cars and marching music begins at 11 a.m. The parade route begins at 8th Street and ends at 3rd Street. Holiday Boutique with crafts and gifts from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 690 Railroad Avenue.

Start the holiday season with some sparkle. These events are sponsored by the Pittsburg Arts and Community Foundation, Inc., the Old Town Pittsburg Business District Association, and the City of Pittsburg.

For other holiday events, the Chamber of Commerce also hosts the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in Old Town.
