Parking is free at Sundial Bridge Parking Lot; overflow parking available at the Redding Civic Auditorium.

In addition to Redding's Holiday Tree Lighting and annual Christmas Parade, an ongoing holiday attraction takes place at Turtle Bay Exploration Park. The popular Garden of Lights at McConnell Arboretum invites guests to wander through the botanical garden next to the Sacramento River and famed Sundial Bridge to see spectacular light displays that adorn and light up the garden at night during the holidays.

Animated light displays featuring more than one million lights,  synchronized music animations, fire pits & s'mores, holiday-themed food & beverages are a few of the attractions that have made this annual event a popular must-see.

The experience begins with a walk across the world-famous Sundial Bridge spanning the Sacramento River. Follow the lit path to the garden entrance and courtyard, where you see holiday-themed displays along winding paths throughout 10-acre, curated botanical gardens.

This wonderful holiday experience is designed for the entire family! There are countless photo opportunities, foods to fulfill you sweet tooth and cravings, music to make life merry, and beautiful trees that inspire, delight, and celebrate happy holiday traditions.

The temperatures are generally cool so jackets are recommended in this all ages events which happens before Thanksgiving and continues into the New Year.
