San Diego Great Christmas Parade

Mother Goose Parade in El Cajon is a tradition that began as a gift to the children of San Diego in 1947. In San Diego's East County  the largest parade in the county features floats, clowns, Santa Claus, marching bands, equestrian units and celebrity appearances.
 
Coronado Christmas Parade is a grand Holiday Celebration with a festive parade along Orange Avenue, the lighting of a 75-foot Christmas tree, holiday music and a fireworks show over Glorietta Bay.
 
Seaport Village Surfin' Santa  event invites visitors to Hang ten with San Diego's board short-wearing Santa. A lively parade down the Seaport Village boardwalk, along with music, kids' crafts and photo opportunities with Surfin' Santa dude are all included, free.
 
La Jolla Christmas Parade and Holiday Festival in downtown La Jolla includes marching bands, floats, equestrian groups, vintage automobiles and an appearance by Santa Claus.
 
North Park Toyland Parade December 3, 2016, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Young and old are invited to enjoy  marching bands, floats, vintage cars, dance groups, beauty queens, city officials and Santa in this popular community celebration. The parade is followed by a holiday fair behind the historic North Park Theatre.

Gaslamp Holiday Pet Parade December 13, 2015, 3 p.m.
Owners and their dressed-up pets march down the decorated streets of  San Diego's historic Gaslamp Quarter. The event concludes with a Pet Expo featuring an awards ceremony honoring best pet holiday costume and ugliest holiday sweater.

La Mesa holiday Parade December 11-12, 2015,   5-9 p.m. 
It's a charming, Victorian wonderland with a carolers, carriage rides, street performers, live music, entertainment for the whole family and a visit from Santa.

San Diego's Big Bay Balloon Parade December 27, 2016,  10 a.m.

The country's largest balloon parade,  with floats, balloons and marching bands,  are just some of the offerings in this colorful holiday parade that takes place along San Diego Bay in downtown San Diego.


San Diego's Annual Port of San Diego Bay Parade of Lights  attracts massive crowds who love to see the sparkling lots. Admire them and approx. 80 private boats decorated with holiday lights reflecting an assigned theme. Great views are available on land from Shelter Island, Harbor Island, the Embarcadero, Seaport Village, Marina Park and Coronado Ferry Landing.

Chula Vista Third Avenue Starlight Parade December 5, 2015, 6 p.m.

Holiday in the Village is a family-friendly event in San Diego's South Bay. Strolling carolers, marching bands and Santa Claus make a grand appearance.  his year's special attractions: Frosty's Snow Hill from noon to 4 p.m. Kids of all ages can play in the snow in Chula Vista Have fun meeting Santa at Holiday in the Village or compete in the Ugliest Holiday Sweater contest Check out trophies to be awarded in 12 categories! Visit the Snack Alley during the parade. From popcorn to funnel cake, cotton candy, roasted corn, and so much more, there's a snack for everyone to enjoy!

Mission Bay Christmas Boat Parade of Lights is a delight!  100 brightly illuminated powerboats and sailboats parade along Mission Bay. Best viewing is from Crown Point, the east side of Vacation Island or the west side of Fiesta Island.

Encinitas Holiday Parade rolls along the historic 101 Coast Highway in San Diego's North County. The parade starts at 5:30 p.m. with marching bands, children's groups and nearly 100 floats. A 5 p.m. tree lighting ceremony at the Lumberyard Shopping Center  precedes the parade.
