Back for a 4th year in 2023 with bigger displays but with many of the same favorite attractions as last year, the Elks  2-mile Christmas in the Country car drive through experience delights all ages with dazzling lights and Christmas designs bringing merriment during the special holiday season.

VIP Experience - Upgrade and get an open-air wagon, pulled by a tractor, through the entire Christmas in the Country display, while also enjoying holiday goodies and hot chocolate.

Launching the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas in the Country drive-through holiday lights show at the Elks Unocal Event Center in Santa Maria runs five weekends through Christmas. It features thousands of lighted holiday displays created by community organizations, businesses and schools. Produced by  Santa Maria Elks Lodge #1538, volunteers began creating and building their displays several months prior to the grand opening in late November. Displays seen at the event have included:

• Bethlehem with real camels and live animals
• Snoopy's Christmas includes Peanuts and the gang
• Angels
• Santa, Reindeer and the North Pole
• Snowmen
• Lighted Dinosaur
• Lighted Trucks
• Abominable Snowman
• Polar Express
• Christmas Stockings, Wrapped Packages made of Lights
• Trees made of Lights

Stuff the Stocking for pediatric cancer accepts money for a program, Golden Circle of Champions, that honors 25 children with pediatric cancer and their families.
