Get ready to deck the halls and light up Soquel Village at the first-ever Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Join the festive fun with caroling, early evening shopping and scrumptious snacks. A special invite has been sent directly to Santa.

 Capitola has not promoted a tree lighting event for several years but they do still have the fabulous Surfing Santa!

Capitola Village residents love the holiday season at their beloved village and invite you to visit and participate in all the best that city has to offer, including the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Holiday Open House. Approx. a week after Surfing Santa arrives at Main Beach, the holiday tree is lit.

Held in front of the arbor at the intersection of Capitola and Stockton Avenues, a local school band performs holiday selections followed by the tree lighting. Enjoy light refreshments and bundle up in case it is chilly outside.

Other exciting events throughout the year include the Easter Egg Hunt on the village green.
