The City Holiday Tree Lighting is at approx. 5:30 p.m. Monterey Fire Department delivers Santa Claus.

City Tree Lighting Entertainment with the Mayor lighting the tree. Rain or Shine.

The City festivities at Devendorf Park include performances by the School Choruses, refreshments and community kinship.

The annual City Holiday Tree and Menorah Lighting Celebration is held at Devendorf Park on Ocean Avenue between Junipero and Mission, followed by the Carmel Plaza Holiday Open House.

• 3:30 p.m. Santa Claus  arrives by Fire
• Del Monte Brass will be there to add a festive air.
• 4-4:30 p.m. Menorah lighting Ceremony with gelt and dreidel spinning and singing.
• 4:30-5:30 p.m. Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony with MC Ben Beesley
• Performances by Carmel Dance Center, River School Choir, Carmel High School Chamber Singers, I Cantori, Miles Williams, and Debbie Davis
• The Holiday Tree  lit at 5:30 p.m. 
• Carmel Plaza invites you to shop, mingle, and enjoy delicious small bites, festive warm drinks, face painting, kids activities, and visits with Santa and Martin the Magical Elf

Immediately following the tree lighting the Carmel Plaza located on Ocean between Junipero and Mission holds an annual open house until 7 p.m., offering refreshments and entertainment.
