Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony -- and you are invited to experience the festive holiday season. You'll find the celebration taking place at the corner of Fountain Square Drive and Greenback Lane.   This year, the City's Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on the 1st Wednesday of December on December 6th at 6:30 pm, at City Hall (6360 Fountain Square Drive). The evening begins with a tree lighting ceremony located at City Hall, followed by holiday traditions such as pictures with Santa, hot cocoa, activities for children, and more! 

Everyone is invited to this free event. Come share the spirit, meet the locals and city officials who attend.

In addition to our annual Holiday Tree Lighting, the City of Citrus Heights hosts the Best Lights in Citrus Heights Contest!

• Residents  decorate for the season
• Nominations for homes, including apartments, duplexes, and all other residences with the best décor open on November 28 and close on December 15, 2023
• Voting is December 16-19, 2023
• Winners awarded soon after!
