The City of Walnut Creek and Walnut Creek Downtown Association collaborate on a holiday decorations program, illuminating the heart of the city with a winter wonderland theme that will enchant residents and visitors alike.

The Parade of Lights is the highlight of Broadway Plaza’s holiday season kick-off event, and includes music, entertainment, and a special Tree Lighting Ceremony led by Santa Claus himself!

Schedule of Activities:

 Visit with Broadway Plaza Retailers and special vendors

• 6 p.m. Stroll through our Open House and visit with retailers and community partners.
• 7 p.m. Watch the parade make its way down Broadway Plaza Street.
• 7:45  p.m. Gather for the grand moment as Santa lights the Broadway Plaza Christmas Tree!
   

 The Holiday Parade of Lights & Tree Lighting (Broadway Plaza Street) This year's parade will feature community groups such as local high school marching bands and dance teams,  Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce, Walnut Creek's  Police Depart and the Contra Costa Fire Department, Walnut Creek on Ice, Preschool Groups, Performing Arts groups and More!

The tree lighting will be at the completion of the parade.

Broadway Plaza renovation grand opening celebration with live entertainment, kid-friendly activities and a holly jolly milk & cookie reception held in our Promenade, in honor of Santa Claus! Activities include:
