Walnut Creek Recreation invites ghouls, vampires and princesses to walk through candy lane where decorative trunks are filled with Halloween spirit and sweet/non-sweet treats are given out.

As a part of Walnut Creek Boo Bash, Walnut Creek Arts + Rec hosts the 4th annual Trunk or Treat in downtown Civic Park. Families are invited to walk through the  trick-or-treat  lane and stop by our entertaining booths filled with activities and games such as bounce houses, face-painting, balloon twisters, food trucks, and more! Trunk or Treat is free for the community.

The Spooktacular Stroll at Broadway Plaza

For age 12 years and under only. Parents must accompany children under 10 years of age during the event.

Celebrate Halloween Trick-or-treaters!  Get a map of participating businesses at the starting location, visit sponsor booths, fun activities, and proceed to downtown storefronts to collect Halloween candy.  

• Face painting Selfie stations with goblins and ghosts throughout downtown
• Kids Halloween crafts
• Games and prizes
• Pumpkin Coloring Contest
• The first 1,000 trick-or-treaters receive a complimentary reusable trick-or-treat bag.  

Parking  3 hours free at the Broadway Plaza parking garage (entrances on S. Broadway and Newell Ave.)

After you've experienced a spooktacular Halloween in Walnut Creek, get ready to rock with Santa around the Christmas tree at the downtown plaza for the annual holiday Tree Lighting ceremony.
