Located on Capitola Wharf, the Wharf House is one of the classic California restaurants serving great meals and smiles for those who like the ocean, piers, and even some seafood meals such as Salmon & Crab Potatoes, Alderwood Smoked Salmon Omelet, Crab & Spinach Omelet, and other tasty breakfast options such as traditional pancakes, scrambled eggs and toast.

For lunch there's also some fish on the list-- Fried Prawns, Clams, or Calamari, Steamed Clams,  and Bay Shrimp are but fish options. Chicken sandwiches, patty melts and basic burgers are in steady supply.

Dinner menu entrees include fresh bread and choice of dinner salad or Boston Clam Chowder. Entrees include some of the same fish dishes as you'll see on the lunch menu, but there are also some tasty meals that satisfy with plenty of carbs for traveling athletes. Pesto Chicken Linguini is a marinated chicken breast, grilled and sliced, and served with basil pesto over linguini. Pasta Primavera includes  sautéed vegetables with garlic, butter, and wine, tossed with Parmesan cheese over linguini. Chicken Carciofi is a local favorite making use of one of the area's favorite products--artichokes. The grilled chicken breast with Castroville artichoke hearts in a lemon cream sauce with mushrooms, leeks and rice pilaf is rich & tasty, and a favorite for artichoke nuts.

Scampi Style Garlic Prawns, Seafood Sauté, Snapper, Grilled snapper, or  Filet Mignon topped with sautéed mushrooms and Bleu cheese were on the menu during our last visit.
