It's an intimate and casual outdoor venue set in the historic Blacksmith shop of old Livermore days. The brick buildings surround a courtyard filled with tables and chairs, and trees to offer some shade. Tapas, beer, wine, champagne, teas, sun, friends and music. Summer music season held outside on the Blacksmith Square Courtyard through October offers free entertainment. Evenings can be chilly - bring your jackets and blankets and enjoy all the amazing music!  In an effort to support this program provided by its businesses, no outside alcohol is allowed.

Entry to the courtyard is through the gate to the right of the Bankhead Theater box office at 2400 First Street in downtown Livermore.

June 26, 2019, 6-9 p.m. LPC Jazz Ensemble, Poetry Out Loud California State Winner Natalia Macias, poet Denise Bridges, and guitarist Gabriel Eaton. Randy Fortes, a local singer/songwriter, actor and speaker will serve as emcee for the evening. Final hour will start with a short set by the Bankhead House Band  Force of Magic,  followed by a jam session.  Force of Magic consists of five musicians, all of whom work at the Bankhead. Andrew Mathers on trumpet, Alisa Branford on ukulele, Ruben Birando on guitar, and Robert Huntington on tuba, are joined by Arthur Barinque, who will run the turntables.

Any local musician, artist or group can sign up for a slot to perform during the open showcase session which begins at 7 p.m.

They can also join in a jam session towards the end of the evening.

Admission to the family-friendly StarsDay is free and beverages and snacks will be available for sale from concessions.  

Exhibits in the Gallery often highlight local artists.  Musicians interested in participating in the open showcase should arrive to sign up at 6 p.m. and will be assigned a slot based on space available. Two microphones will be available for use but musicians are responsible for bringing their own instruments and any other equipment.
