The annual Point Richmond Music (PRM) Festival features free concerts with two acts performing on the 2nd Friday of the month during the summer months, usually June-September. The historic district / neighborhood of Richmond is a place to not only enjoy fantastic, free music, but there are usually vendors selling unique items, face painting for the kids, and great restaurants and shopping to soak in while you're there.
This summer tradition of free music is presented by the all-volunteer PRM Committee which includes a board of directors. Funding is obtained through support of local businesses and donations. The event has been around for 20 years or more, and often ranks as the best music festival in the Bay Area's East Bay.
Parking is located on Railroad Avenue and on East Richmond across from the elementary school. On concert days Park Place is blocked off, and any cars parked there after 3 p.m. will be towed.
Events are not guaranteed. It is your responsibility to confirm before going.
