 The Two Gentlemen of Verona

June 30-July 2, July 7-9, and July 14-16, 2023, 8 p.m.

Shakespeare's early comedy about two young men vying for the love of the same woman, is a fun and entertaining adventure for all. A woman disguising herself as a man, a comic outlaw band in a forest, servant clowns and…a dog are some of the characters you may encounter in The Two Gentleman of Verona.

King Lear

July 21-23, 28-30 and August 4-6, 2023, 8 p.m.

Shakespeare's tragedy, King Lear, is about an aging pagan king of ancient Briton, who  descends into madness losing his throne, being imprisoned, and dying broken-hearted.

King Lear divides his kingdom among his two daughters who express their love for him, and banishes the third who is less flattering to him. His eldest daughters both then reject him. 

Blankets, low back chairs and beach chairs. No normal height chairs are allowed.

Kingsmen Shakespeare Company is a not-for-profit professional theatre organization and  member of the Shakespeare Theatre Association of America (STAA).  

The Drama Department at California Lutheran University produced the first Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival in Kingsmen Park on the campus of California Lutheran University in 1997 as  a collaboration with Santa Susana Repertory Theatre Company.
