Nevada City and Grass Valley trade off on hosting the annual 4th of July Parade, with even number years in Nevada City and odd numbered years Grass Valley. This year, the parade and other festivities will be held in Grass Valley. Get ready to don your flags and patriotic attire for the 4th of July Parade in downtown Grass Valley on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, starting at 10 a.m.

Grass Valley Parade at 11 a.m. begins on Broad Street with approx. 75 entries makes its way down the historic district downtown. Parade-goers are advised to bring lawn chairs and arrive early to find a good vantage point.

routes 49 and 20, a one-hour drive
northeast of Sacramento. From the
capital city (60 miles), take eastbound
Interstate 80 to Auburn and Highway 49
north. From Marysville (35 miles) and
the north valley, take eastbound Highway
20. From Reno (80 miles), take westbound
I-80 and westbound Highway 20.
