EL CAJON: Mother Goose Parade. Fun for all ages the 66th Annual San Diego's traditional holiday kick-off event, held the Sunday before Thanksgiving, is the largest parade in the county and the largest of its type west of the Mississippi. The free holiday celebration attracts thousands of spectators, showcases marching bands, colorful floats, clowns, equestrians and more. Special appearances by celebrities and musical performers add to the day's festivities. Time:10 a.m. Route: Starts at Magnolia and Main, head down Main St. to N. Second Street, turn North then end at Madison. Additional activities: Mother Goose Village open 9 a.m.-3 p.m. themothergooseparade

PLEASANTON: Country Folk Art Urban Marketplace November 17-18, 2012. Held at Alameda County Fairgrounds. Show Hours: Saturday 10-5, Sunday 10-4. Admission: . countryfolkart

SACRAMENTO: Harvest Festival, November 16-18, 2012. Shopping, live entertainment, celebrity appearances, prizes, artist demonstrations, food and live stage entertainment with Bad Catz and Cash Tribute, a Johnny Cash tribute band. There will also be strolling entertainers - Washboard Willy, Mama Claus and Eddie the Elf, Fables of the West, and WC Willy dressed as an elf and hovering high above the festival on his stilts. - 3 day pass.
