11th Annual Battle of the Bands Saturday, May 5, 2012, 6 p.m.
La Palma Central Park 7821 Walker Street Does your band have what it takes to win the title of the 11th Annual Battle of the Bands? Band members chosen to participate will need to attend a mandatory meeting that will be held April 19. A runway show of spring fashions for 13-18 year old guys and girls featuring clothes and accessories from some of your favorite retail stores. Plus, see designs by up-and-coming fashion teen designers. $5.00 per person Cypress Community Center, 5700 Orange Avenue. Winning Band will win a cash prize. Applications are available now at the La Palma Community Center and Cypress Community Center. Applications are due to the La Palma Community Center no later than 6:00pm, Friday, April 6. The Cypress Community Festival is held on the fourth Saturday of July each year at Oak Knoll Park in the City of Cypress, CA. The admission is free!

This annual event includes an early morning 5K/10K run, a delicious pancake breakfast sponsored by the local Kiwanis club, a car show, chili cook - off, family games, food booths, the Chamber of Commerce business expo, children's rides, arts and crafts booths and four stages with continuous entertainment. This is the largest one day festival in Orange County and draws up to 30,000 visitors each year.
