Carlsbad, Calif. EGGstravaganza Spring Festival

April 8, 2023, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Poinsettia Park
6600 Hidden Valley Road
(760) 602-7519

Cost: Free admission, $5 fee to participate and $5 wrist band for carnival activities

The egg scramble is ongoing from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or until eggs run out. To keep the scramble fun for all ages, one field will be designated for children ages 6 and over who want to race for their eggs, and an identical one will be for children ages 5 and under. There is also a noncompetitive field for young children, children with special needs, and for families wanting to pose for a photo opportunity. To avoid lines during the event, $5 activity cards and $5 unlimited fun zone wrist bands can be purchased in advance at city community centers.

Carlsbad's largest egg hunt features the Egg Scramble activity where kids race to collect candy-filled eggs among several other fun activities, including face painting, crafts, soak the bunny, cookie decorating, fun zones, and more. This event also highlights the Carlsbad Parks & Recreation summer camps with demonstrations and activities that children can participate in. Wrist bands and activity cards are required for some of the activities and can be purchased presale or at the event.

This festive Poinsettia Park event invites you to celebrate spring time with a chance to soak the bunny, play in the Fun Zone, solve clues to find the hidden egg shapes stamps throughout the park, and much more. There are crafts, face painting, and family relay games. Get a sampling of the city's summer programs.

Other fun events include Carlsbad Tree Lighting ceremony at the Rancho and a full schedule of summer concerts.
