Delano Kiwanis Club has decided to return to its regular format of an Easter egg hunt the day before Easter that was last held in 2019 but modified in recent years due to the pandemic. The club plans to return to the Delano High School stadium if the district allows.
Egg Hunt Schedule
Preschool 10 a.m.
Kindergarten 10:30 a.m.
Grades 1-2 at 11 a.m.
Grades 3-4 at 11:30 a.m.
Egg Toss contest, Easter Bunny photos, Bounce House, Balloons, Prizes, Sn0-Cones, Candy, Kettle Corn and more.

Delano hosts an old-fashioned Easter Egg Hunt in which the local Kiwanis Club invites teens to help out dying over 4,000-5,000 actual eggs! The eggs are collected, boiled, dyed using industrial cooking equipment, placed on the lawn to dry in the sun, then reassemble into egg cartons and refrigerated till the hunt.
The kids hunt for the eggs and also receive a beautiful basket of candy that can take home with them. It is one of the nicest, heart-warming events in all of California, and is the major service event for the local Kiwanis Club of Delano.
