Held in conjunction with the Grand Opening of the Art Walk, there's a grand opening celebration of the renovation of the Historic Plaza. The event includes Eastern Ways Chinese Lion Dance performance, ribbon cutting, music by The Mighty Cash Cats Johnny Cash tribute band, live art and art walk in the new public plaza and railroad handcar demonstrations. The new urban park plaza is bounded by Sutter, Leidesdorff, Wool and Reading streets, directly across from the Light Rail Station and adjacent to the Historic District parking structure.
