Downtown Chico says they treats you right at Treat Street, a fun and safe adventure that invites kids age 12 and under to bring their parents downtown to trick or treat at nearly 100 businesses.

Wear a costume, bring a parent and get ready to stroll downtown Halloween-style. Just follow the map to businesses listed on the Treat Street route. Special posters are posted in the windows of participating businesses, though you'll recognize them by the merchants and candy distribution often in front of the stores, restaurants and shops.

Activities, entertainment and special vendors in City Plaza provide lots of entertainment ranging from crafts to products and give-aways.

The Annual Treat Street costume contest invites you to compete for prizes -- entry fee may be charged. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finalists in each of the 5 divisions: Child 0-3, Child 4-7, Child 8-12, Themed family or group, and canine.

There is so much fun and so many treats in one single night--this is the premier event in Chico for Halloween. Other exciting annual events include a community Tree Lighting Ceremony.
