Recreation & Golf Service, Coronado Public Library, and Coronado Cultural Arts Commission have all joined together to bring you Halloween Happening Events! This year there will be fun for all ages as the whole family is invited to head over to Spreckels park on Friday  at 3:30 p.m. to enjoy trick-or-treating and activities. This free event ends at 5:30 p.m.

Back for another year of trick or treating with Coronado's downtown merchants, ghosts, goblins and other costumed kids are invited to look for participating shops with the help of their parents / chaperones to collect candy and treats in the Mainstreet Goes Ghostly event hosted by Coronado Mainstreet.

Happy Halloween! Drop by the front library for some trick or treating with Ms. Natalie on your way to or from Downtown Goes Ghostly! Can you guess what she'll be dressed up as? Toddler Halloween story time with finger plays, stories and songs happens 11-11:30 a.m.  Later in the day during Trick or Treat hours, Halloween Gross Science inside the Library from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. includes several projects, making edible skin models and learning how the stomach digests food. Yuck!  Throughout the month of October the library offers Halloween themed events such as:

• Room 502 Tour October 6, 14 & 28, 2023 $75
  While the haunting story of Kate Morgan is more widely known, there is a room on the fifth floor that has even more paranormal occurrences. This special ghostly tour will take you inside The Del most haunted room while learning about our haunted history.
• Paranormal Tour October 21, 2023 $75
  Explore The Del's "most haunted" room, Room 502, and glimpse some of the rarely seen footage documenting over 400 anomalous (paranormal) phenomena during a 12-month investigation.
• An Evening with the Spirits October 27, 2023 $125
  An interactive and fully immersive evening that examines the roots of our fascination with ghosts, hauntings, seances and more. Includes a visit to the actual guestroom of Kate Morgan, our resident ghost.
