As the sun goes down Main Street transform into a ghostly site with 2 stages of music, costumes to blow your mind (in our own words, not theirs,) and a street fair like you won't see for the rest of the year. It's a hauntingly-good time!

2025 Attractions

• Carnival Rides (a small fee will be charged for some rides) + Carnival Games
• Candy Trail -Trick or Treat: Kids can collect sweet treats at our game booths, from many of our vendors, and during the always-popular Trunk or Treat, brought to you by the Downtown El Cajon Business Partners. 
• Kids Zone - includes FREE inflatable bounce houses, haunted maze, photo opportunities, and a rock wall
• Reptile Petting Zoo
• Amazing bands perform
• Face Painting and Airbrush Tattoos free
• Vendors give out stuff or sell crafts and other items
• DJ Dance Party by 35 Productions in the Prescott Promenade.
• Movie: Monsters University!  at sunset

Magnolia's Haunted Circus returns

Halloween themed circus show includes Jugglers · Contortionists · Stilt Walkers · Hoop Throwers · Stacking Chairs · Crystal Balls · Acrobats ·  More! RSVP for free to watch the circus style performances in the Magnolia's historic theater. 

Costume Contest

Annual HauntFest on Main invites you to get your costume ready. In each category, first place winner receives $100, second place $50 and third place $25.

5 p.m. Costume Contest Ages 0-7 years
6 p.m. Costume Contest Ages 8-12
7 p.m. Costume Contest Ages 13-17
8 p.m. Costume Contest Ages 18+

Sign-up at least 30 minutes prior to start time of respective contest
