Orange, Calif.--Do you live for Halloween? Are you a kid or a kid at heart, wanting to stroll in a park and wander through the bright orange pumpkin patch, or maybe take a ride on the train that goes around the grounds of one of Southern California's oldest and most endearing parks? Irvine Park Railroad's Halloween is a family oriented attraction featuring a festive atmosphere with happy kids everywhere.

Then you need to make a date to visit the Annual Pumpkin Patch, a real country charmer put on by Irvine Park Railroad. It's fun for all ages with panning for gold, riding a hay wagon, riding the train, participating in activities and picking out your prized Halloween jack-o-lantern to be carved at home.

Children and adults are invited to the Pumpkin Patch which is open daily at 10 a.m. mid-Sept. through October 31.

Way down in Locomotive Loop and Miner's Meadow just behind the train station is where your eyes will feast on thousands of pumpkins in all shapes and sizes. Pumpkin Patch activities include: Train rides, hay rides, panning for gold, a child-friendly haunted house, a hay maze, a moon bounce, carnival games, John Deere tractor racers, face painting (weekends only), picture stands and great food.

Admission into the Pumpkin Patch is free. Prices for all other activities vary, but are affordable. Parking at the park requires a small fee. Visit Irvine Regional Park in the foothills of Orange, Calif. to see one of the most beautiful city parks in the Orange County hills.

Visit Irvine Regional Park's other activities including Wheel Fun Rentals at Irvine Park -- fun and unique bike rentals that can be enjoyed by single riders or an entire family -- paddle boat rentals, the Orange County Zoo and pony rides. Bike and paddle boat rentals are open daily during this event. Irvine Park Railroad's annual events include the Anniversary Celebration, Easter Eggstravaganza, Pumpkin Patch, and Christmas Train. Irvine Park Railroad’s Pumpkin Patch in Orange County is fun for the entire family. Come out and enjoy the many activities for kids of all ages. The Pumpkin Patch is located just behind the train station and admission is FREE. Please note that a gate entrance fee will be charged by the County of Orange for each vehicle that enters Irvine Regional Park.
