For a Halloween spooktacular filled with chills and thrills, look no further than Los Alamitos Halloween Spooktacular Trunk or Treat at Little Cottonwood Park. Come in costume for the trick or treat candy gathering and for entering the costume contests. The 2 hr. 30 min. event is packed with entertainment and activities for all ages, so put this on your calendar and don't miss it.
Local businesses and organizations can help provide a fun and safe alternative to traditional trick or treating as a Trunk! Benefits include free participation, free advertisement to over 5,000 in attendance, and interacting with the community in a safe environment. In addition, the top three tricked out trunks win a gift card prize!

Halloween Carnival is staged in the grandstand apron in front of the finish line, providing a safe, enclosed place for children to enjoy an evening of fun activities. The Halloween Carnival is held in conjunction with the live Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred horseracing program.
The Carnival will feature a fun-filled evening of activities for the entire family, highlighted by the popular costume contest in the Los Alamitos winner's circle area. First place in each of the categories will be worth $200, second place $125 and third $100. Everyone that participates in the costume contest will receive a goody bag filled with candy. Game tickets will be available the night of event for a small price.
The winners of each divisional category qualify for the grand prize.
The Halloween Carnival will feature tons of fun-filled activities including more than 20 carnival games, game prizes, Halloween Derby racing game, pony rides, arcade games, candy for all the children, jockey autographs and a photography booth. The carnival games will include the Grand Slam Batting Cage, Football Toss, and Soccer Kick game.
The annual Costume Contest has previously attracted approximately 400 participants, making it one of the largest costume contests in Orange County.
Staged on the track's large grandstand area facing the finish line, the
Halloween Carnival includes 20+ kid-friendly games, the popular costume contest,
pony rides and more. The Halloween Carnival will begin at approximately 6 p.m.
and continue until 9 p.m. Admission is only $3 and kids 17 and under are
admitted FREE. Los Alamitos also features free general parking. The Halloween
Carnival is held in conjunction with the live horseracing program.
