Kidspace Haunted Arroyo

October 13 & 21, 2018, 5-8 p.m.

Arroyo Adventure will be glowing with ghouls, spooks, and mystery as you journey through the Haunted Arroyo. Light yourself up with glow in the dark paint, and make glow in the dark potions. Create glowing lanterns, join the Monster Mash dance party, and visit the slime station in the Busy Bee Learning Store.

PASADENA: Kidspace Pumpkin Festival

October 27-28, 2018, 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Brookside Park across from Kidspace Children's Museum

Crafts, games, pumpkins to pick, music, kids' shows, dance troupes and food vendors such as In N Out Burger, Kona Ice, Yogurtland and more. Petting zoo, pony rides, exciting bouncers, carnival games, and seasonal crafts. Partake in a costume parade, enjoy face painting, and visit the pumpkin patch. There's a great costume sale, and tasty picnic treats. Entrance to the festival, parking, and live performances are free, tickets can be purchased to enjoy activities and food. All proceeds benefit Kidspace Children's Museum a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Doggies get their chance to don costumes and strut their stuff when The Dog Bakery hosts its annual Growl-o-ween. Enjoy a costume contest, parade, and free goody bags for those who RSVP in advance!

Pumpkin Decorating Extravaganza

October 27, 2018, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

One Colorado hosts their annual Pumpkin Decorating Extravaganza. Kids can get busy with glitter glue, pipe cleaners, and washable markers to decorate their own pumpkin to take home. One pumpkin per child.

Halloween Trick-or-treat  Old Pasadena

October 31, 2018, 5-8 p.m.

Bring your costumed ghosts and ghoulies to trick-or-treat store-to-store in Old Pasadena. Look for the Ambassador Guides in the yellow shirts and friendly costumed characters who will be handing out treats, greeting our visitors, and posing for photos. All activities are free and open to all!

Also on Halloween evening, One Colorado offers free "haunted photos" in the Courtyard for costumed kids and families; photos conclude at 8:00pm and the line will be adjusted accordingly arrive early! Enjoy a free screening of "Coraline" beginning at 7:00pm.

Old Pasadena Day of the Dead

  • Calavera face painting

Tour of Altars three locations. Printed maps will be available at each merchant altar location and at special activity sites during event weekend.

SALSA ON THE ALLEY November 2, 2018, 6-8:30 p.m.
Head for Big Bang Theory Way at Union Street for the  kick-off event curated by La Junta. It features a Salsa demonstration and dance lesson, and live music by Cuba Rumba. Join the festivities with free calavera face painting, too.

SALSA ON THE ALLEY November 3-4, 2018, 1-4 p.m. 
Head for Mercantile Place for live music from Marimba Tropical and free calavera face painting. Grab a map and take the Tour of Altars through Sunday evening.

Visitors are invited to take a free self-guided tour of both traditional and contemporary interpretations of altars lovingly created to honor and celebrate the spirits of the dearly departed. A panel of judges visit each altar and award monetary prizes in six categories.

Day of the Dead is the reverent yet vibrant Mexican holiday that honors loved ones who have passed before us.

Dia De Los Muertos

Join the Armory Center for the Arts and Villa-Parke Community Center in celebrating "Dia De Los Muertos," a centuries old holiday honoring the deceased celebrated in Latin America. View "ofrendas," alters honoring the life of the departed. Dance performances, arts and crafts and food available for purchase.
