Halloween Trick-or-treat in Old Pasadena

For a frightfully good time bring costumed ghosts and ghoulies to trick-or-treat in Old Pasadena. Participating merchants and restaurateurs offer treats to costumed kids in a festive evening along Colorado Boulevard.

  • Head over to One Colorado Courtyard and continue your store-to-store Trick-or-Treating while supplies last.
  • Get the family portrait taken by their photographer in the Halloween-themed courtyard.
  • Stay and enjoy a free outdoor screening of Hocus Pocus in the Courtyard beginning at 7 p.m.

All activities are free and open to all!

Pasadena Day of the Dead

 On Friday, November 1, join friends and neighbors at Villa-Parke Community Center to celebrate Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). The Human Services and Recreation Department is teaming up with Armory Center for the Arts to commemorate the centuries-old holiday with dance performances; arts and crafts; food available for purchase; and ofrendas, altars honoring the lives of the deceased.  Dia de los Muertos is a Human Services and Recreation Department event 

Kidspace Haunted Arroyo

Arroyo Adventure will be glowing with ghouls, spooks, and mystery as you journey through the Haunted Arroyo. Light yourself up with glow in the dark paint, and make glow in the dark potions. Create glowing lanterns, join the Monster Mash dance party, and visit the slime station.

PASADENA: Kidspace Pumpkin Festival

Crafts, games, pumpkins to pick, music, kids' shows, dance troupes and food vendors such as In N Out Burger, Kona Ice, Yogurtland and more. Petting zoo, pony rides, exciting bouncers, carnival games, and seasonal crafts. Partake in a costume parade, enjoy face painting, and visit the pumpkin patch. There's a great costume sale, and tasty picnic treats. Entrance to the festival, parking, and live performances are free, tickets can be purchased to enjoy activities and food. All proceeds benefit Kidspace Children's Museum a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Old Pasadena celebrates Day of the Dead, the reverent yet vibrant Mexican holiday that honors loved ones who have passed before us. The celebration spans two days and includes:

Community Celebration on Big Bang Theory Way

Come stroll the alley and take in live marimba and mariachi music, craft-making, free calavera face painting and the Community Altar dedicated to our loved ones. Bring along a photo or remembrance to leave on the altar or create your own at our craft tent!
