Unforgettable Memorial Day Tribute

Rose Hills Memorial Park, the largest cemetery in North America, hosts a special exhibit honoring the 250th anniversary of the United States Armed Forces three military branches: Army, Marines, and Navy. The exhibit includes:

  • Military exhibits spanning from the Civil War to present day
  • Authentic uniforms, weaponry, and memorabilia
  • WWII military ambulances & Jeep vehicles
  • Vintage aircraft flyover

Rose Hills Memorial Park & Mortuary invites the community to attend its 103rd Annual Memorial Day Observance. At 10:30 a.m. family activities launch the day.

Around 11 a.m. a solemn tribute honors the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. This year's keynote speaker is Joseph Sciarra, a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. His life and service stand as a powerful testament to the courage and dedication of the men and women honored on Memorial Day.

The event includes performances by the L.A. County Sheriff's Band and Honor Guard

Rose Hills' landmark Skyrose Chapel, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright protege Architect E. Fay Jones, features a soaring 70-foot clear cathedral ceiling with dramatic views of downtown Los Angeles.

The entire complex founded in 1914 as an 18-acre cemetery on part of the historic Rancho Paso de Bartolo land grant. It has grown to include a care center, staterooms, a witness crematorium and more than 700 team members who speak nearly two dozen languages, serving California's diverse cultures and their needs.
