California Cat Festivals, Shows

Cat shows offer opportunities to see the most unique, wild, elegant and exotic feline pets on the planet. Cat agility training is one of many festival attractions and things to see. Helping adopt cats -- 3.2 million enter animal shelters each year, with 860,000 million euthanized. Of the cats entering shelters, approx. 37% are adopted, 41% are euthanized, and less than 5% of cats who came in as strays are returned to their owners. Approx. 1.6 million cats are adopted annually through shelters and other sources. Americans own more cats (85.5 million) than dogs (78 million) and of those, 91% of cats owned are spayed or neutered.
