     The Placita Santa Fe Merchants Association and the City of Placentia annual Tamale Festival, Las Posadas and the Winter Holiday Celebration take place in the 100-200 blocks of Santa Fe Street (in Old Town) on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, 4-9 p.m. The event features a procession re-enacting the travels of Mary and Joseph, live entertainment featuring the famous Mariachi Divas, caroling and fresh and delicious tamales for individual and quantity purchase. Santa Claus is sitting down with kids, who  receive a gift and pose for individual pictures. ocrosalina@gmail.com

The Riverside Tamale Festival Saturday, April 19, 2014, White Park Riverside, CA The Trujillo Adobe descendants have partnered with the YWCA of Riverside County, and City of Riverside, Parks Recreation and Community Services, to host the City of Riverside‚Äôs Second Annual Tamale Festival. Highlights of the festival include tamale, food and gift vendors, music, dance, entertainment, children's activities and a historical exhibit on the Trujillo Adobe and La Placita de Los Trujillos. Admission is $1 per person, children under 12 free.
