Always held the last Sunday in February, the 107th Capay Valley Almond Festival in 2022 celebrates more than 100 years of almonds, one of California's top farm crops.

Festivities, music, arts & crafts exhibits and sales, a huge car show, wine and olive oil tastings are featured in Capay Valley's six towns along Highway 16 in northwestern Yolo County. The event runs from 8am to 5pm. Festival goers can stop in Esparto, Capay, Brooks, Guinda and Rumsey. Each venue features something new, from music and dancing to art shows and food tasting.

Esparto, the festival headquarters, will hold festivities in the Community Park with crafters, tastings, book sales, and live music performances all day. Pancake Breakfast, Almond Baking Contest, Book Sale, Vintage Car Show, Clown, Esparto Fire Department BBQ. The Madison fire department organizes the big car show, featuring more than 100 classic automobiles and pick-up trucks. In the morning you can enjoy a pancake breakfast at the Esparto school, and later see who wins top honors in the Almond Cooking Contest.

The Almond Festival in the Capay is always a great time but its just not complete without a stop at the Road Trip Bar and Grill for some great food and a little "Rockin" Country!

In Capay, enjoy live music in the patio at Road Trip Bar & Grill, or check out the motorcycles at Capay Junction, a popular spot for bikers.

In Brooks, the tasting room at Capay Valley Vineyards will be open; stop to try their newly released Sparkling Tempranillo. The Séka Hills room offers wine and olive oil tastings; there will be live music by the patio and fire pit here, as well. Also, a favorite -- Cache Creek Casino!

In Guinda, there are more crafters, tastings, and a petting zoo, along with an exhibit of antique farm machinery. Be sure to stop for a bite to eat at Guinda Commons, known for delicious sandwiches made with their home-smoked meats. Rumsey will host an art show, organic produce stands (Full Belly Farm is a regular at this event), a silent auction, and special children's area with hands-on farm activities and demonstrations. Music will be played all day here as well. Food-wise, you'll have a hard time resisting the wood-fired pizza.

Rumsey has hayrides over the historic Rumsey Bridge. There's an art show, crafts fair, silent auction, bluegrass music, local produce and food for sale such as wood fired pizza.
