July 12-15, 2012 worldfest.net
Four straight days of music in the
towering pines of the Sierra foothills
is a summer tradition for many families
and adults who have visited and
experienced California Worldfest. The
music festival features musical acts
from around the world ranging from
Africa nation to Bluegrass,
Reggae, World Beat, and New Delhi
sounds.
A cultural feast spanning the globe,
the concert features an open-air, lawn
grass setting. Hosted in Grass Valley,
summers are warm (around 80s- 90s during
July (and it sometimes reaches 100
degrees,) and the nights comfortable and
enjoyable.
Camping opportunities are provided,
or you can drive in, but should look for
hotels in advance as the options may be
limited for those sticking around 4
days.
The event includes a parade with kids
the leader/ participants in the events.
There are kids bounce slide, water fun,
crafts and things to do throughout the
event. Adults can join in on seminars,
discussions, jams and open mics to
perform if they like.
If you are looking for something
different this summer and you really
just want to get away and let the music
move you, California Worldfest is a
great event and festival that requires
setting your dial on "relax".
