Long Beach Summer Festivals

From over 20 concerts, movies at the beach and free entertainment to a themed festival nearly every weekend this summer, Long Beach celebrates summer & beaches with a variety of events, all ideal for families.  Most the events are held at the shoreline, three beaches, Belmont Memorial Pier and several city parks.

Pirates, scallywags, privateers and buccaneers come ashore for this annual festival that includes music, song, dance and live theatre. Shop for rare and unusual treasures at the pirate market, stocked with booty from the 7 Seas. Two daily battles with cannon fire and musket blazing, pirates clashing with sword and pistol as they fight over treasure and wenches. A visit to Alfredo's pirate pub and a tankard of ale will calm your nerves before your visit to the pirate village with hundreds of costumed scallywags and wenches.

On Saturday night the first annual Pirate Film Festival  will show the movie, Captain Blood, on a giant outdoor screen.

AREA:
Each team will be provided a marked 15'x15' area. There shall be
no more then ten (10) participants in the area at any one time. All
areas will be monitored.
TOOLS:
Any hand tools are permitted including shovels, buckets or vessels
of water. Forms are acceptable, but molds will not be permitted.
MATERIALS:
Only sand, seawater and other materials from the sea which are
found on the day of the event and onsite may be used; hair spray,
paste-like substances or food coloring not permitted.
