Mariposa County Fairgrounds mariposarotary.org
This
an
annual event held in late May or
early June.
View of a
variety of local art, taste
great wines, listen to fabulous music
and enjoying tasty foods with family and
friends at the Mariposa Historic
Courthouse, where foothill wineries will pour
their wines. Set to the sounds of
delightful, live music, around 15
wineries are represented and over 30 Sierra Foothill Artists.
Mariposa inspires painters, photographers,
sculptors, potters and artists. The
artwork may reflect local landscapes and
scenes, or you can interpret what you
see in the abstract works. Meet
the
artists as they answer your questions
and even provide
demonstrations.
Known for their hearty reds
each with their own distinct fresh aroma
filled berry flavors, Sierra Foothills
appellation winery
proprietors and winemakers often attend
the event, providing opportunities to
ask about and discuss the wines.
Along with the wine-tasting is
food...grilled sandwiches, baked goods, salads
and sweets are available for purchase,
plus wine, beer and non-alcoholic
beverages. Sponsored by the Mariposa
Rotary Club, this annual tradition of
Art & Wine go hand-in-hand at the
Mariposa celebration called Fine Art and
Wine Festival.
The event is Free. $10 to taste wine.
