CARLSBAD   Oktoberfest  October 1, 2011
29th Carlsbad Rotary Oktoberfest  where you will be able to enjoy authentic German food, beer, live music, and a variety of entertainment for children. The German band Roger and the Villagers once again highlights the festivities with their music, along with the Pacific Coast Community Band and the Mira Costa Windjammers.  The event offers the ever-popular Oktoberfest Pumpkin Patch where children decorate pumpkins.  Fun-filled festivities for the entire family include inflatable jumps, face painting, an antique fire truck and much more.  German Dinner tickets can be purchased in advance of at the event for $10. This is the primary fundraiser for the two Rotary clubs in Carlsbad.  Proceeds from the Oktoberfest are shared with various local non-profit organizations, primarily the Boys and Girls Clubs of Carlsbad and Women's Resource Center.
