Pasadena Doo Dah Parade, A Rose of a Different Color

The 44th annual parade returns to its Original Route in Old Pasadena: Raymond Avenue at Holly Street; right on Colorado Blvd. to Pasadena Ave.

Come early, bring lawn chairs and stay f for the after parties listed on the official website (pasadenadoodahparade.info).

Queen Try-outs October 

Occasional Pasadena Doo Dah Parade. Parade route is also just west of the Sierra Madre Villa Gold Line Station at Colorado Blvd. and Sierra Madre Villa. City busses go directly to the area. Come early! Bring a lawn chair! Time: 11 a.m. Cost: Always free. Location: Colorado Boulevard (between Altadena and San Gabriel Boulevards) in East Pasadena. Plenty of street parking is available. Attend the after parties all within walking distance. Robin's Wood Fire BBQ restaurant will be selling a wide range of savory foods on the parade route.

Everybody knows about the Pasadena Rose Parade, claimed to be the most watched parade broadcast in the world. That's what they say, anyway.

But what about Pasadena's OTHER parade"the Doo Dah? An out of-this-world event that's 88 years younger, sexier and a whole lot funner is unleashed onto the streets of Pasadena's E. Colorado Boulevard on.

In a previous event a parade queen contest was held and Patrizzi Intergarlictica wooed tough judges with her killing cockroaches dance to the lyrics of a Queen song, another one bites the dust. She and her out of order ATM machine may lead the parade filled with floats, marching groups and decked out, modified vehicles.
