11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays, and from 11:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays through Monday, January 15, 2024.

• 25% bigger than any other previous year, there's approx. 16,000 square feet of wood decking with the rink taking up about 130 by 60 square feet. 
• More efficient than previous rinks with sand base.
• The rest of the space features  artificial turf.
• There will be s’mores from S’moreology
• Non-toxic in any way, restaurant-grade propylene glycol is pumped through a closed system that super cools aluminum panels and before long forms ice. 
• Willy Bietak Productions, a local Santa Monica-based company is the rink builder for 2023.

The 8,000-square-foot rink once again transforms the corner of Fifth Street and Arizona Avenue into a winter wonderland with a little beachside  ice. Grand reopening features free skating, a live DJ, delicious bites and freebies.

ICE is a community tradition in the heart of Downtown Santa Monica. The 8,000- square-foot rink on the corner of 5th Street and Arizona Avenue transforms into frozen fun for the entire family! Every holiday season Downtown Santa Monica brings a little ice to the beachside community

PARKING
Parking is widely available in the downtown structures including the Santa Monica Public Library or Parking Structures 9 and 10 just north of Wilshire Boulevard.

Kick off the holiday season with the Grand Opening of ICE at Santa Monica. Bring your friends and family to celebrate Downtown Santa Monica's premier outdoor ice-skating rink. Free skating, with music and performances by some of California's most elite skaters! Free food, kids crafts, giveaways and an interactive photo booth.

 ICE at Santa Monica is an outdoor ice rink and as such is subject to weather conditions. The ice rink will operate if it rains, but will close should conditions become dangerous to skaters or staff. All ticket sales are final and there are no refunds on purchased tickets due to rain or other weather related circumstances or said conditions impact on the skating surface or overall experience.

A tradition and the anchor attraction of Downtown's annual Winterlit program, ICE has become known throughout the region as a healthy and inexpensive form of holiday recreation. The venue is also known for its unique birthday parties, corporate events and private parties throughout the holiday season and offers packages for groups between 15 and 300.
