Visitors can collect a wealth of free information at the Berkeley Visitor Information Center, open Monday -- Friday 9 to 5 downtown at 2030 Addison Street, suite 102, one block north west of the downtown Berkeley BART station. A wide variety of brochures and literature is available, and visitors can ask specific questions of the center's superbly informed staff. Brochures, literature, maps, visitor guides and information are available free of charge.
