Atascadero features the look and feel of an expansive countryside with lots of open space. It is only fitting that the city's Parks Division includes some of the most beautiful places along the Central California coast for hosting special events, weddings, and just enjoying the beautiful parks during a visit to the wine country destination. Atascadero has its own Charles Paddock Zoo, skate park and meeting venue by a lake at Atascadero Lake Park. Free summer concerts are held at the park in July and August. Be sure to visit Atascadero and enjoy some of the community events the city sponsors at its lovely parks!
