People around the globe have heard the cheerful tune sung by the voices of children in a Disney song accompanying a ride called "It's A Small World". The ride brings the experience all together when you hop aboard a little boat that runs on a track through a water channel. As you ride in darkness through chambers inside a building you see the world lit up through animation dolls singing the "It's a Small World" song in various languages. Riders on this 15 minute boat trip visit distant lands staged on elevated platforms above the ride. You visit to Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, and hit see costumed characters moving back and forth while the music continues to play. The boat ride remains at a decent pace so you never have time to absorb or get bored with the slightly low-tech animatronics (by today's standards.)

When the ride was unveiled at first at the World's Fair in 1964, Disney was responsible for the Pepsi sponsored attraction that over a million people saw and loved. That closed and Disneyland introduced "It's a Small World" ride in 1966 at Disneyland theme park in Anaheim. The sound track for the ride is based on a song written by the Sherman Brothers and sung in many languages during the attraction ride. It made waves and created a rage that set the tone for things to come at Disneyland.

Its a Small World

It's a world of laughter and a world of tears
It's a world of hopes and a world of fears
There's so much that we share
That is time we're aware
It's a small world after all

It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world

There is just one moon
And one golden sun
And a smile means friendship to everyone
Though the mountains divide
And the oceans are wide

It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world
