There are regulations and rules about flying drones over Huntington Beach Pier. Check with Lifeguard services or the city first. But that doesn't mean you can get great photos from the air.
Many times flying out of Orange County Airport, the planes have flown low enough to get a shot of the HB Pier. The picture here was actually taken by a helicopter, however.
Just be willing to shell out some money if you want to grab some striking photos of the Huntington Beach Pier by helicopter or plane.
