Seal Beach, California Welcome

Did someone ever welcome you to town? In Seal Beach's Old Town you'll receive a great big WELCOME right on the sign facing Pacific Coast Highway.

Seal Beach downtown is a friendly place that welcomes you to shop, dine, go to the beach, stroll the Seal Beach Pier and sit and relax.

The city is divided into several areas but most visitors don't go to the newer part of town. They head for the Old Town where this picture was taken. They want to sunbathe on the Pacific, sink their toes into that terrific sand (one of the world's top sandcastle sculptor's ranked Seal Beach sand the best in the nation,) and stay cool on the ocean's edge.

Seal Beach is a welcoming place. How many cities remain where you can park for free? Huntington Beach to the south charges $1.50 an hour just to spend your money there, as does Long Beach to the north. And both cities have meter people skulking around waiting to slap you a big fine when you money expires. They call it revenue generation. Seal Beach fights hard to keep its 2 hour Main Street parking and 1 hour Ocean Ave. parking free for those stopping by. What a great place! No wonder they say "Welcome" and they really mean it!
