California's Great America Tricks & Treats, a Family Fun Halloween Adventure
$34 online-up,
4701 Great America Pkwy
Santa Clara, CA 95054

California's Great America is decorated for its new Halloween Event, Tricks and Treats Fall Fest featuring Halloween Activities for Everyone... This all ages, family-fun event is filled with happy things like candy and cuddles.

All fun and no fright -  NO scary decor, NO haunting images and sounds, NO negative stuff to scare little ones.

Tiny goblins and grown-up ghouls find things to do for Halloween. Choose a path upon arrival. Do you stroll into the Land of Tricks, promising strange (but not scary) adventures? Or do you explore the Land of Treats with all the nostalgia of a cozy fall festival? Plus, the most popular rides are open to deliver thrills found only at California's Great America.

The Land of Tricks: Icky Ville & Spooky Spires

  • Icky Ville - slimy, crawly, goopy and stinky. Giggle at the messy mayhem of the Clean Up Crew. Laugh out loud at our hilarious game show, The Gross Out Gauntlet. Bug out to tunes from The Snots, the all-zombie cover band. Don't have a brain? Substitute a fried  funnel cake one just for you!
  • Spooky Spires - is the 1920s village where locals are dying to hang out with you. It's Goth-themed and glorious. Feel the beat at the not so silent disco. Go full immersion with ghost stories. Dig into deliciousness at the Cemetery Cafeteria and Ice Creamatorium. Everyone wins at SkeleTONS midway games. Got lungs? Showcase your best bloodcurdling screams at The Scream Bottler.

The Land of Treats: Everfall and Sweet Tooth Acres

  • Everfall - softly glowing candles, pumpkin spice and cozy flannel, Everfall is a classic autumn dream. Come on in for campfire stories, acoustic covers of popular seasonal songs, pumpkin decorating, rock painting and a leaf-peeping spot for photos. Enjoy s'mores, an elaborate custom cocoa bar, craft beers, ciders and cocktails.
  • Sweet Tooth Acres - Candy corn and lollipop trees grow like crazy at Sweet Tooth Acres. Tap your toes to a cappella harmonies of The Fun Size Four and hit Jolly Rancher's Market, with bushels of bubble gum, ears of candy corn, and fresh Swedish fish straight from the soda stream. Discover your candy match with The Candy Predictor and hit the Trick or Treat trail.

In each Land, you'll find:

  • Halloween activities
  • Mysteries to untangle
  • Mazes filled with  shenanigans
  • Crazy games
  • Kookie characters
  • Costume contest
  • Make-and-take crafts
  • Pumpkin decorating station
  • DJ's sizzling sounds

Live Halloween Entertainment
Around every corner at Tricks and Treats is spook-tacular live entertainment that families and friends can enjoy together. Bust a gut laughing at our hilarious game shows. Enjoy the music of talented performers. Grab a friend and listen to not-so-spooky tales spun by master storytellers.

Fall Festival Foods with Tantalizing Twists
Beating gummy hearts, fried brain funnel cakes and for 21+ age group, bewitching brews, potions and magical elixirs. You can also collect candies and goodies at trick-or-treat locations throughout the park.

Cedar Fair operates 13 theme parks in the U.S. and three in California (Knott's Berry Farm, California's Great America and Gilroy Gardens.) Nearly all their parks offer a Halloween event. Knott's Scary Farm was operating its haunt before it was acquired by Cedar Fair and the mega-theme park corporation has wisely borrowed elements of this highly-successful annual festival of the macabre to make their localized events such as CA's Great American Haunt and Pumpkin Fest popular with both adults and kids. With Peanuts & Snoopy cartoon characters part of their brand, Halloween is a natural, and the kids' events are fun for both youngsters and adults.

Events are not guaranteed. It is your responsibility to confirm before going.
