Whether visiting or living in this California destination, there are many things to see and do. Here are attractions, activities and events of interest:
Beverly Hills Events include: Music in the Mansion, Shakespeare in the Park, Greystone Mansion Councours d'Elegance
If shopping is your thing, you'll find no finer place to purchase the best of everything than Beverly Hills. From specialty teas imported from Japan, to a selection of the best cheeses you can find at The Cheese Shop in Beverly Hills, quality has its name on most of what you find there. Not always cheap, the produce, clothing and gifts are designer quality, and you sometimes have to pay for it.
As a tourist attraction, everybody wants to wander in Beverly Hills along Rodeo Drive, much like they need to visit Hollywood & Highland with Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
A couple highlights in addition to shopping and gourmet dining include the Beverly Hills Trolley Tour, an affordable narrated ride around the city telling you the background stories of the celebrities, and the Beverly Hills City Hall. It is uniquely adorned with colorful paint, and its architecture is a stand-out.
Hotels live up to their reputation and expectations in Beverly Hills. Three four star properties and a five (best) in one city of its size is somewhat rare. Beverly Hills likes to cater to the rich & famous crowd, and makes their lives comfortable by offering amenities that may be expensive, but appeal to those who find that money isn't a concern.
For us average people, affordable accommodations such as the Crescent Hotel are perfectly fine for a night on the town and overnight stay. Do see Beverly Hills once in your life. It seems a bit over-rated, till you take a walk on the sidewalk and observe some famous celeb heading into a boutique which has set aside quality shop time and locked its doors to the public so the paparazzi-hounded actors can do serious shopping without a camera copping a peak.
