Kimpton's Canary Hotel in Santa Barbara will have weekly "Sing-Along Under the Stars" every Wednesday in October on its scenic rooftop terrace. Each week will feature a different complimentary film screening. The show starts at 8pm. (CanarySantaBarbara.com.)

Pier 39 in San Francisco is celebrating its 35th Anniversary with Fireworks off the Bay end, every Saturday night in October. Also in the city is Urban Hiker San Francisco, a touring company offering hikers 5 routes, including "Urban Jungles and City Heights," "Presidio Exploration" and "Stairways to Heaven." Across the bay, Savor Oakland Food Tours takes visitors through the Oakland Waterfront for an insider's look at the culture that defines the city and delicious tastings from one-of-a-kind eateries. (www.savoroakland.com)

The Jelly Belly Haunted House is open Oct. 17-31, when the factory's free tours get a special Halloween touch. On Oct. 26, there will be a Munchkin Masquerade Parade through the famous Fairfield factory for kids 10 and under in full costume. (www.jellybelly.com)

Take a B Bryan Preserve Jeep Tour at this 100-acre Point Arena ranch for African hoof stock animals. You'll see zebras, giraffes, antelope and kudu. Tour the Emigrant Trail Museum at Donner Memorial State Park in Truckee. The spectacular statue at the entry represents the height of the snowfall during the rough Donner Party Winter in 1846. (parks.ca.gov)

Oxnard's River Ridge Golf Club is the first in California to offer "Footgolf," an international sport that follows the rules of golf but substitutes soccer balls and kicks instead of golf balls and clubs. (www.riverridge-golfclub.com)

"Holiday Snow Days and Winter Nights" is coming to Carlsbad's LEGOLAND California from Nov. 29-Dec. 31. The theme park transforms into a Winter Wonderland with all sorts of surprises. (www.LEGOLAND.com).
