It’s interesting how cities in California cope with religious holidays such as Easter and Christmas. Most have no problem producing community celebrations such as parades, Santa Claus sessions, tree lighting ceremonies, Easter Bunny Breakfasts and Easter Egg Hunts. Typically the emphasis isn’t on the religious aspects of the holiday but on the traditions that entertain youth and adults. Some cities have scrapped the Easter Egg Hunt due to financial considerations, but cities such as Los Angeles host dozens of egg hunts and bunny encounters. Pictured at the Los Angeles Zoo are children delighted with the opportunity to touch a real bunny! The annual LA Zoo Big Bunny’s Spring Fling takes place April 3, 4 & 5, 2015. Here is a list of about 1 dozen egg hunts in Los Angeles.
