Hermosa Beach’s semi-annual Fiesta Hermosa offers no better way to celebrate your love of “beach” than to shop, dine, browse artwork, listen to music, park your wheels at the bike valet, stroll Hermosa Beach Pier and do 100 things this Labor Day Weekend.
When I worked in tourism we did our best to determine peak visitation to California beaches. We gathered information from all the best sources such as California State Parks and got some eye-popping figures. Top attendance was not on 4th of July as we expected, but actually occurred state-wide on Labor Day Weekend! While fluctuations in weather, school schedules and other factors can change the attendance numbers from year to year, if you head to a beach on Labor Day, anticipate crowds in the most popular destinations such as Southern California beaches.
From the north coast to the Mexican border, Labor Day Weekend beach festivals offer incredible fun when you know where to find it.
