Like Summer Concerts in the Park, 4th of July celebrations take place in nearly every city in California, produced through city funding, businesses, community organizations, sponsorships and donations. From year to year each city shows pride & patriotism with awesome displays, picnics, games and fireworks! Here are some cities that begin with the letter “A”….
California 4th of July celebration:
- ALAMEDA: Mayor’s 4th of July Parade is one of the biggest in the USA.
- ALAMEDA COUNTY: Celebrate in a variety of places, including on board USS Hornet.
- ALBANY: Moustache Contest is going on right now for the 4th of July Picnic.
- ALHAMBRA: Celebrate with a Picnic, Penny Carnival in Almansor Park, then Fireworks at 9 p.m.
- ALISO VIEJO: Celebrate in Grand Park with Bands, Homemade Apple Pie Contest and Fireworks.
- AMERICAN CANYON: 4th of July Festival includes a parade and fireworks show.
- ANTIOCH: Parade launches the celebration with fireworks at Contra Costa County Fairgrounds.
- APPLE VALLEY: Freedom Festival with games, beer garden and fireworks.
- ARROYO GRANDE: 4th in the Village with a concert, hot dogs, lemonade and ice cream.
