A Weekend that Rocks Big Time Like a Hot Air Balloon
If you think this weekend is going to be dull, maybe you better step outside your door and check out the events going on around you. We can hardly find a place in California that doesn’t have something to celebrate. In Temecula the annual Balloon and Wine Festival has arrived with rocking concert acts, hot air blasts and cool wine drinks. Other events include the off-beat Flying Fish Festival in Catalina where you take a night ride and shine your mega flashlight on the flying fish, the Santa Monica Festival, Elks Rodeo and Parade in Santa Maria, Pony Express Days in McKinleyville and Chocolate and Chalk Art in Berkeley.
Other great weekend events include the Patterson Apricot Fiesta, Contra Costa County Fair, Alameda Sand Castle Contest, Solana Beach Fiesta del Sol, Pit River Big Time Pow Wow, Tustin Chili Cookoff and Street Fair, Balboa Island Parade, San Bernardino National Orange Show, Gilman’s Wild West Festival in Banning… it just goes on and on…. here are a few events this weekend!
