The fabulous Rhododendron Parade hits the streets of Eureka, Calif. on April 30, 2016! The bloomin’ parade presented by Greater Eureka Chamber of Commerce has floats, marching bands, military units, and equestrian displays followed by a day of activities. The public is invited to shop at the Rhododendron Show and Sale or ride the train at Dolbeer Steam Donkey Days in Fort Humboldt State Historic Park.

On the same day you can see vibrant displays at Monterey Bay Rhododendron Plant Sale at Farmers Market in Aptos.

The biggest display of all featuring over 1,000 Rhododendron specimens comes on Mother’s Day weekend. When Fort Bragg City Council recently proclaimed May 2-8, 2016  “Rhododendron Week,” American Rhododendron Society members from the Noyo Chapter came to talk about their newly registered Noyo Mist flower and promote California’s largest Rhododendron show at Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens in Fort Bragg.
