City of West Hollywood Cannabis Education Forum
Last month a report from a panel overseen by California Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom said the state should set clear guidelines for legalizing recreational marijuana before voters consider a legalization ballot measure in November 2016. The City of West Hollywood has supported use of cannabis for medicinal purposes for approx. 20 years when the City backed California Proposition 215, the Medical Use of Marijuana Initiative or the Compassionate Use Act. While cities throughout California craft laws regulating medical dispensaries, cultivation and use, West Hollywood invites the public this week to a family friendly cannabis education forum featuring panelists and speakers from the medical field, from the legal arena, and from businesses.
